‘Unfair to Sourav Ganguly’: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee bats for DADA as ICC president
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is in favor of former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly after he stepped down from the post a week ago. Former Indian all-rounder and 1983 World Cup winner Roger Binny has become the new chairman of the board. Some reports stated that Ganguly wanted to continue as the president, but it is against the rules that a BCCI president cannot serve two consecutive terms. Mamta, however, feels that Ganguly has been played with by the BJP government. He said that while the other members sit, only Ganguly has been asked to step out.
